How do I remove silicone glue from the vent in my dashboard?
The vent in my dashboard was sinking due to sun exposure. Someone told me they could try to tuck it in, but that didn’t work, so they said that they tried to make it less of an eyesore by painting the yellow exposed part (my dash is black). It looks like they used a silicone glue and it looks HORRIBLE. I would rather have it back to having a little yellow exposed because I cannot stand to look at this bad job on my dashboard. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can remove this? Thank you!!!
The damage is done. You might tear the heck out of the rest of the dash trying to remove the silicone glue. If you’re good with a razor or exacto knife you might be able to trim it enough to minimize the blemish. You could get a custom dash mat to cover it all up.
