Materials to make iPod sleeve?

I’ve been thinking of going to Michael’s to buy some materials to make an iPod Touch sleeve, but I’m not sure what materials to buy. Will some materials scratch the back of the iPod? (I’ve noticed that the shiny metal back is a scratch magnet)

The shiny back part of any iPod is indeed a place for scratches to have a fiesta.
As for making that sleeve.. I’d try just some yarn or something and make sure that it stays together well so that it doesn’t unravel or something like that.
