Why do Pro-IR black people call Anti-IR black people racist if they disagree with interracial relationships?
Given our current experiences and on top historical ,blk ppl rejecting IRR is justified. We don’t owe anyone anything. We are walked on, robbed, and exploited and continue to have enough problems as it is. Im sick of blks trying to make other blks feel guilty simply bcuz they reject the idea of their own ppl intermarrying. Had a long conversation with a friend on the phone last night. Since we’ve both dated outside of our race we discussed the crazy hostilities that were pressed against us from other black people’s reactions. In short I think it has a lot to do with insecurity. A lot of people say “yeah I’m all for interracial relationships.” But there is a big difference between supporting one and actually being inside one. I think that some if not maybe most people are afraid to be in one by virtue of the fear that others may look down on them [which is complete idiocy]
It just has a lot to do with how people perceive supporting IR versus actually being in one. Though I will advise that you might not want to drive yourself too crazy over this. People will always be people.
