Anyone else feel the icy grip of isolation?
It’s like a friggin’ black hole. You feel cold and empty and you can feel yourself freezing over. You feel like it’s a never ending cycle of self torment. You feel like you’re getting dark and twisty, and it’s a result of being scary and damaged. Normal teenage angst or something else?
I don’t need to see a counselor about this… I’ve already explained this to him. I just need to know how to get rid of it…
Hey! I know how you feel. I’m the only openly gay kid at my school and I feel cold and alone all the time. I have lots of close friends, a supportive family, great health and good grades. I still feel isolated however all the time and I yearn to have someone else to talk to who is gay. I’ve tried every imaginable therapy to dull the pain but none of them worked. The only thing that worked for me was talking about my problems with my friends. They might be straight but they can relate to a lot of my feelings. I imagine that you’ve tried this but I just thought it was worth suggesting. I hope you find the peace your looking for; no one deserves to be lonely.
