How to rip/convert DVD movies to MP4, MPEG, AVI, MOV, MP3,WAV for playback on iPod, iPhone,Apple TV
DVD Ripper for Mac is specially designed for Mac users to rip or convert all DVDs to almost all popular video formats like MP4, AVI, MOV, 3GP, MPG, MPEG, WMV, FLV, H.264/AVC, DV, M4V, DivX, RM, MKV etc and audio formats such as MP3, WMA,WAV, AAC, AC3, RA, M4A, MKA etc. Those formats can be playable on various portable devices such as iPod, iPhone, Apple TV, PSP, BlackBerry, GPhone, Mobile Phone, Palm, etc.
The below steps guide you to to rip DVD movies to the target formats.
Step 1: Free download and install the DVD Ripper on your Mac.
Step 2: Load a DVD movie or clip into the DVD Ripper
There are two ways to import DVD movie. Click “Load DVD”, then a dialogue box will pop up. Browse your computer and find out the the DVD movie you want to convert. When click “Open”, the whole content of the DVD movie is loaded. Alternatively, click “Load IFO”, then select the specific IFO file to import. You can watch the input DVD’s or clip’s information shown in the interface, such as its titles and duration. You can preview the DVD movie in the built-in screen on the right.
Step 3: Customize the video and choose the output path
Click the “Profile”, then the drop down menu will open beside it. Choose the format you would like to convert. For example, select MOV-QuickTime(*.mov), the software will output .mov format playable on your device. Meanwhile, through the button of “Destination” to select your output path as you like.Then the the output video will be stored there.
Step 4: Preview the whole effects
Click “Convert”on the right bottom of the window. Then a window will pop up, which shows how much have been converted. Through the window, you can also preview the whole effects of the being generated video.
After a few mouse clicks, the conversion will be accomplished in barely few minutes. Then you can put the generated file to your device. Watch movies on your device.
If you would like to personalize your video clips, it enables you to trim, crop, edit, combine DVD clips and capture pictures.
P.S. If you have a FCE (Final Cut Express) or FCP (Final Cut Pro), the software can also help you to rip dvd to FCE or import dvd to FCP.
