Introduction
For 245 euros (EIA) offers Yamaha PDX-50 iPod Soundsystem. special feature is the signal wirelessly between the iPod / iPhone speaker. The result is that the iPod is not on a pier in the center of the enclosure generally, as usual, but a small wireless transmitter system low interface to connect – and works in the wireless signal between the transmitter and receiver. The PDX-50 is not a typical Yamaha when we have the treatment is not convincing. The design on the surface of the housing is very clean and offers an integrated personal touch. The mesh is precise and does not lead to wrinkles. Even the small pack and receiver, connected to the iPhone or the iPod is inserted, is specifically built together. Total treatment compared with the category Price: very good – excellent.

The idea is brilliant: if other manufacturers iPod or iPhone to provide a complete platform, which in turn directly into the audio workstation, is another Yamaha. There is a unity that the speaker, two other components. First, small transmitter unit system interface with the iPod or iPhone and wireless contact record (Yamaha AIR WIRED jargon, "signal Latency wireless PCM) signal to the speaker, and the pack a little in the transmitter can be closed. If the shipping unit to the iPhone or iPod dongle, iPod or iPhone is loaded automatically. The dongle is in a compact with a control. Another current speaker is supplied with the power to connect. The speaker in amplifiers 2 x 15 Watt power available. Broadband chassis speaker met size of 2 x 8 cm. The frequency response extends from 60 Hz to 20 kHz. Available in black or gray, the system is available. The sound channel weighs 1.7 kg and has dimensions of (W x H x D) 350 x 128 x 125 mm.
